Welcome to American Rising Stars, Inc., formally Rising Stars in Houston, which incorporated in the summer of 2006 due to the expansion in new markets. ARSI has offered services to school districts in Houston and the surrounding areas including Aldine ISD, Alief ISD, Cypress-Fairbanks ISD, Goose Creek ISD-Baytown Texas, Galena Park ISD, Waller ISD, North Forest ISD as well as school districts in West Texas (Abilene, Haskell, Lawn and Stamford).
ARSI will continue its efforts to expand our after-school programs to bring our children the best enrichment programs available.
Overview
American Rising Stars, Inc. provides programs in two different areas, After School Enrichment and After School Sports. We use proven techniques and teachings to help enrich the lives of students in the areas of social, physical, and emotional well being.
We strive to work with each campus to achieve their goals in certain areas to help increase the composite TAKS passing rate for participating students in the program by:
- Increasing the annual class completion / graduation rate for students,
- Increasing the number of students who demonstrate mastery on school administered benchmark tests in language arts and mathematics through pre/post testing, and
- Improving the overall academic performance of participating students in core skills (reading, writing, arithmetic, science, and social studies) as measured by formal and informal assessments of skills and abilities.
A Little About What We Do
The goal of ARSI is to create a learning environment for the students using sports and enrichment programs to enhance their dedication, discipline, and self-awareness. We offer students a broad array of activities and character building programs directed towards youth development, drug and violence prevention, counseling, art, music, physical education, fitness, and technology education that are designed to reinforce and compliment the regular academic programs following the TEKS curriculum.
